Detailed description of work to be done
The overall scope of this internship is to create a detailed test plan for the thermal vacuum testing of the Lunar Zebro rover. During this internship, there are certain tasks that involve (but are not limited to):
1) Familiarize with the Lunar Zebro project
2) Learn about the testing facilities available at NLR and the limitations of them
3) Familiarise with space systems engineering and space testing procedures (like ECSS-E-10-03A)
4) Research into standards on Environmental Qualification Testing
– Create radiation test plan in accordance to ECSS-E-10-03A section 4.1.2 which shall:
i. describe and sequence the test procedure
ii. State the objectives and the scope of the tests
iii. Specify the test facilities
iv. Govern the execution of all the tests
4) Delivery of technical report / memorandum describing above and delivery of general test procedure for radiation testing
5) Start work on a solution for the mounting of the Zebro in the test chamber which can survive and can support the Zebro during the extreme temperature environments
